Rafael Nadal is one of the best men’s tennis players in the world today, despite being only 22 years old. Many people have him listed as the best player, although there is some controversy over whether it is him or Roger Federer who is the best. Going off their head-to-head meetings, it is hard to argue against Nadal.
Rafael Nadal is currently ranked number one in the world, a ranking he has held since August 18, 2008. This was after being ranked number two for a record 160 weeks behind Roger Federer. He has had a rivalry with Federer for most of his career and the two have met each other in six Grand Slam finals, with Nadal winning four of them. He has won five Grand Slam titles, and joined Bjorn Borg in 2008 as the only men to win the French Open four consecutive years. His specialty is clay courts, as he has dominated almost every opponent he has faced on a clay court. He has an astounding 21-1 record in finals on clay courts, and is thought by many to be the best clay court tennis player to ever play the game.
Nadal just seems to be getting better and better, and many think that he will soon be regarded as the best men’s tennis player by everyone. He has already put together a pretty impressive resume at the age of 22, and there is no telling what it will look like once his career is over. He has all the tools to be regarded as one of the best, if not the best, to ever play the game once all is said and done.
