Alekzandra Wozniak was born in 1987. She is a professional tennis player from Montreal, Canada. She started to play tennis at an early age of three coached by her father, Antoni Wozniak from Poland a former pro soccer player. Her mother’s name is Jadwiga Wozniak and she has one sister, Dorota Miller ( two-time NCAA champion for San Diego state, California) who was the one who inspired her to play tennis as she would travel with her and watch her playing and winning the Canadian titles. She then asked her father to coach her tennis career.
She made her first appearance in the 2001 qualifying as a WC. She speaks fluent French, English, Spanish, German, Polish and Russian. She also enjoys movies, skiing, ice skating, reading, likes to spend time with friends and family and wishes to be a clothing designer in a future.
She became professional tennis player in the year 2005. By 2007 she was placed number 83 out 100 tennis best players by conquering seven ITF single tournaments. In 2009 Alekzandra accomplish to be rated Number 24 the highest–ranked women’s singles and the fourth highest ranked Canadian singles player being the only Quebecer winning the WTA tournament.
Now her father remains being her coach and takes care of her trainings in daytime and works as a mechanic at nights. Alekzandra has a two handed backhand and is a right handed player; she also has a strong serve and good overhead. She has all-court type of game but prefers clay tennis courts.
