The game of tennis is one of the most popular and most watched sports in many different places around the globe. When it comes to women's tennis, however, not many people know that many great players that are playing professionally. Of course there are names like Venus Williams, Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova for example. But there are so many more great female tennis players on the pro tour that get overlooked. Caroline Wozniacki is one of these players that not many people have heard of, but who is a force on the court.
What is even more surprising about Wozniacki is her age. She is only 19 years old and is playing professional women's tennis. She is playing against the best competition in the world at her tender age, yet she has proven herself time and time again. Wozniacki was born in Odense, and has become the only Danish tennis player to ever break into the top 300 players in the world on the WTA. Not only has Wozniacki broken into the top 300 in the world, but she was currently rated the 10th best tennis player on earth in May of 2009.
Wozniacki has nothing but a bright future ahead of her. She has already become one of the dominant players on the WTA, and yet she is only 19 years old and not as experienced as other players as well. Once Wozniacki learns how to play the game of tennis with wisdom and gains experience through the WTA, she will certainly be one to watch.
